Delphi wins BO BEDREs furniture award 2007
Delphi won the furniture award from the Danish magazine BO BEDRE at the Copenhagen International Furniture Fair 2007 with the following reasons:
The sofa Delphi from Erik Jørgensen is a likeable piece of furniture. The details - from the graphic visible stitches to the light and floating construction of the frame -create a sofa in a class of its own.The modular system makes it easy for the user to find exactly the sofa version that fits the home. The jury especially liked the version with wooden legs – which makes the sofa part of the Scandinavian design tradition, whereas the expression of the sofa is international. The decoration is careful but still right on. Most important, the comfort is of high quality – this is a sofa with a long life span. More info on BO BEDRE's homepage

New model: EJ Delphi
Design: Hannes Wettstein
At the Copenhagen International Furniture Fair 2007 Erik Jørgensen revealed an international novelty. Together with the Swiss architect Hannes Wettstein and his team Erik Jørgensen have developed a new modular sofa concept, Delphi, with 11 different modules which give many possibilities for an individual and unique sofa solution. It is possible to use the chaiselounge length in to ways – as a chaiselounge or by turning the module and use it as a long seating cushion in a traditional sofa format.
The sofa supports the development of the modern family’s lifestyle. An active and outgoing lifestyle for the whole family requires a comfortable and relaxed base at home which Delphi provides with its many seats and resting positions - all in the same sofa. |

New model: EJ Eyes
At CIFF 2007 Erik Jørgensen presented a new light upholstered chair, Eyes, designed by the architects Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen. The chair is the latest result of their partnership with Erik Jørgensen which started almost 25 years ago and includes more than 20 pieces of furniture.
The chair is versatile in its use and suits private homes as well as contract settings e.g. as a conference chair, exclusive dining chair or waiting room chair in public and private spaces. The slenderly proportioned chair is ingeniously fixed on a steel foot. The buttons in the back of the chair resembles seeing eyes, hence the name. |
|

|
New model: Footsool for EJ 210 Pearl
Erik Jørgensen now offers a foot stool to accompany the lounge chair EJ 210 Pearl launched in May 2006. The foot stool repeats the fine lines in the bottom seat of the lounge chair with extra steep edges, so the foot stool itself has a very strong sculptural expression. The simplicity in the shape resembles a saddle – an association emphasized by the delicate work with the stitching and with the convenient advantage that the foot stool easily can be used as an extra seat in a crowded living room. |

EJ 315 with a new look
At the furniture fair IMM in Cologne 2007 the classic sofa EJ 315 from Erik Ole Jørgensen was presented with a new look. The sofa from 1975 was shown in black Passion leather decorated with buttons in various black and white patterned designs. |

|
News: EJ 250 as a modular sofa The popular sofa EJ 250 now also comes in a modular version which opens for even more combinations for as many people as needed. The corner section can also be combined with a chaise longue or even a double chaise longue element. |
|

|
New model: EJ 210 Pearl Design: Johannes Foersom & Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, MDD
With Pearl Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen have created an easy chair in a class of its own. The elegant expression and the fine lines accentuate the aesthetic element of the chair and emphasize the designers’ sense of detail. Most of all the functionalism of the chair is striking. The tall back and the tilt function together with the upholstered armrests provide the chair with an amazing comfort.
Pearl is suitable as a lounge chair and especially as a TV or easy chair at home. |

New model: EJ 200
The new Erik Jørgensen sofa EJ 200 was presented at The Stockholm Furniture Fair 2006. The sofa is designed by the Erik Jørgensen design team who continuously develops new furniture based on the fine tradition and acquired experience of the company.
EJ 200 brings the 70’s back to mind. The sofa is the ideal choice for people who are looking for a casual sofa of high quality and it provides great comfort when sitting or lying down.
The sofa consists of a black MDF frame in which the big mattress in one piece and the voluminous cushions in the back and sides provide good comfort. The legs in stainless steel give the sofa a modern look. EJ 200 is pure spoiling and a relaxing oasis at home. |
|

|
New model: EJ 47 Shel
Design: Gunnar Moen
The structural idea of Shel is the bending of a relatively thin stainless steel plate. In that a great structural strength and a light and elegant design is obtained.
The dark outer tight upholstery and the accommodating bright inner comfort stress the graphic expression of the shell.
Shel is well suited at home as well as in public spaces. The chair matches the material selection in modern architecture.

|
EJ 250
EJ 250 is Erik Jørgensen’s idea of a sofa which is the gathering point of the living room. The sofa is wide and long enough to seat both family and friends – or just two people. EJ 250 is an architectonic piece of furniture itself, and therefore it perfectly matches the pure lines in the Scandinavian design tradition. Despite its size the sofa does not seem tremendously big thanks to the narrow armrests and legs and the simplicity of the design. The seat cushions and the fix upholstered back provide good comfort and assure that everybody sits comfortably. The sofa is available with a chaise longue element as well as a foot stool. |
