David Lewis was born in London in 1939. He has attended London’s Central School of Art. Since he took up residence in Denmark in the 1960’s he has been working for Bang & Olufsen where he

is now the chief designer. David Lewis also has a leading position in many areas of industrial design which has presented him with numerous awards. He has his own practice in Copenhagen. To-gether with Gunnar Graversen he created Canobi for Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik in 1970.
